Light, after passing through countless layers of leaves, loses its harsh glare.
It fractures into small patches of brightness, dancing on the ground, on the skin, on every fold of silk.
Even the wind no longer rushes by.
It lingers in the empty spaces, long enough for us to feel every breath we take.

A tree canopy is formed from countless leaves.
The dress is also formed from many successive layers of craftsmanship: material, dye, structure, tailoring techniques, and the space between each layer of silk.
Everything exists in harmony to create a feeling lighter than its own weight.

Nearly seven meters of Habotai silk unfold into a generous kaftan silhouette.
The volume of fabric is not used to create bulk, but to make room for the air.
A kaftan does not define the body's lines;
A kaftan opens up a space for the wind to pass through, allowing the silk to move with each step like trembling foliage.
As the wearer moves, each layer of silk finds its own rhythm.
The sleeves open and close with the breeze, like layers of leaves in constant motion.

Upon this silken canvas, the tie-dye technique creates non-repeating gradients.
Young green, golden sunlight, and ivory white blend together according to the flow of water and the artisan's hands.
No blueprint dictates the exact boundaries of each color patch.
Each piece of silk therefore carries its own structure, just as light finds a different path through the canopy each day.

This movement is only truly complete when the tailoring technique knows how to step into the background.
All finishing edges are turned and stitched, with no overlock stitching used.
With thin and soft Habotai silk, this process requires immense patience and precision.
The silk edges must be folded tiny and straight to almost dissolve into the fabric itself.
The inside is finished with as much care as the outside, ensuring that what touches the body is always the soft surface of silk, not the remnants of technique.
