Patterns passed down through generations,
Motifs distilled from thousands of years of experience with nature and all living things,
Embroidered onto fabric by the hands of women in the highlands,
Carrying stories of the land, the harvest,
And communities that have lived in harmony with nature long before we appeared.
Today, these patterns no longer reside in museums or behind glass display cases.
They continue to exist in everyday life.
On a base of natural linen, the brocade strip is placed at the neckline like a gentle reminder of values preserved over time.
The soft jacket silhouette combined with wide-leg trousers creates freedom of movement, allowing us to carry that heritage through the most ordinary of days.
The design is inspired by the geometric language of the Nhat Binh robe, a ceremonial garment for women in the Nguyen Dynasty court, worn by empresses, empress dowagers, princesses, and consorts during important occasions such as Tet, religious ceremonies, receptions for foreign envoys, and other court rituals.
The name "Nhat Binh" (Horizontal Sun) stems from its signature neckline: a square collar across the shoulders that forms a balanced horizontal line, resembling a "horizontal sun."
The Nhat Binh robe was defined during the Gia Long reign and finalized in its garment regulations during the Minh Mang reign in the 19th century. The design was influenced by East Asian court attire, particularly the Ming Dynasty court robes of China, but was adjusted by the Vietnamese to suit the aesthetics and specific regulations of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Living Heritage - letting the precious things of the past continue to live in the present.
