The emotion for clothing always begins with the material.
To me, the story of ramie begins with the cherished *banh it la gai* (ramie leaf cake) that has captivated me since childhood.
Not smooth or skin-flattering at the first touch like silk, Ramie has a rustic, distinctly proud character.
But it is that slightly textured surface—firm yet soft, thick yet able to "breathe"—that truly makes me fall in love.
