"There are places that not only hold history – but it seems as if every little corner is 'breathing' with the rhythm of time. In Hoi An, I felt this more strongly than anywhere else. Every alleyway shimmering with lanterns, every wall stained with the colors of the past, seems to be whispering." They tell old stories. Walking here, I feel like I've wandered into a gentle realm of memories.

And when I put on the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai, for me it's not just about style. Deeper down, it's a silent appreciation, a way for me to honor the beauty of Vietnamese heritage, not just with my eyes, but with my very presence, in every step I take.

That dress is like a moving poem, gentle, graceful, yet deeply rooted in tradition. The Ao Dai was born for moments like these: golden afternoons where past and present intertwine, where culture permeates every piece of fabric and every street.

In a city steeped in history, choosing an outfit that celebrates its cultural heritage is incredibly meaningful.

"I've always wanted to share with you how I connect with the local culture, traditions, and heritage of each place I visit. I truly believe that travel isn't just about 'collecting' places on a map – more importantly, it's about feeling the soul and rhythm of the people and the land." - Lina Michy

The Ao Dai – a cultural heritage woven into every thread. The Ao Dai is not simply a garment, but a cultural heritage woven from each thread. It is Vietnam's most iconic traditional attire, embodying elegance, resilience, and timeless traditional beauty.

"Áo Dài" means "long dress," but "Áo Dài" represents much deeper values: the hidden strength of Vietnamese women, the grace and sophistication of Vietnamese culture, and a design that has been preserved, innovated, and developed over centuries. The figure-hugging silhouette, combined with the flowing, modest yet subtly powerful and alluring panels, creates a beautiful blend of past values and present-day vibrancy. Nothing is more elegant and captivating than traditional attire cleverly and subtly modernized to harmonize with contemporary fashion.

Habotai silk from Bao Loc, the land of silkworms, is soft and lustrous, like a second skin – so light you can barely feel it. Every stitch is meticulously crafted by Hity's dedicated team of tailors, ensuring perfect quality and durability for each product. Honestly, I'd be willing to wear this dress not just for photos, but for everyday wear – to work, for walks, to parties. And I definitely would! Celebrating the elegant beauty and grace of Asian women, the Wild Sunflower Silk Ao Dai showcases the exquisite blend of tradition and contemporary style. The vibrant yellow, like the warm Eastern sunshine, not only brightens the appearance but also radiates positive, fresh energy.

Outfit suggestions:

  • Pair it with turquoise or navy linen trousers for a striking contrast, or with wide-leg silk trousers in white, cream, or light yellow to complete a traditional and elegant look.

  • Pair it with minimalist accessories such as a silver necklace, pearl earrings, a delicate bracelet, and a pretty little handbag made from natural materials like straw or rattan.

  • Pointed-toe high heels, strappy sandals, or clogs are all suitable choices.

Laundry instructions:

Vietnamese silk is a premium fabric that requires careful nurturing to maintain its natural beauty and durability.

  • Dry cleaning is preferred to best preserve the shape and color of silk.

  • Hand washing: Fill a basin or sink with cold water (24-35°C). Add 5ml of mild shampoo or soap. Pour a pH-neutral, bleach-free washcloth into a basin or sink, stirring until it foams. Submerge the silk garment in the washcloth, stirring gently to allow the silk to absorb the water slowly. You can soak the silk for 3-4 minutes, then gently hand wash. Rinse 3 to 4 times with cold water to clean, then remove the silk garment and shake off excess water. Do not wring. A strong twist will It damages the structure of the fiber.

  • Do not use bleach/bleach.

  • Wash each item separately to prevent color bleeding between them.

  • Dry horizontally or hang on a padded hanger in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight as it can cause the fabric to fade and reduce the durability of the fibers.

  • Not using a dryer can cause shrinkage and damage the structure of silk.

  • Iron at a low temperature, maximum 110ºC (Silk setting) on the reverse side of the fabric. Place a thin cloth over the silk and iron from the reverse side to avoid making the fabric shiny. Iron with a steam iron.

  • Keep it dry: Avoid prolonged contact of silk with water or other liquids that can cause stains that are difficult to remove.

  • Avoid applying perfume or deodorant directly to the fabric: The chemicals in perfume or deodorant can damage silk fibers and cause stains.

    Preserve:

    • Silk should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place, avoiding humid environments to prevent mold growth.

    • Place silk in a cloth or cotton bag to protect it from dust and insects, especially moths.

    • Delicate silk should not be hung for too long as it can stretch the fabric, especially with heavier garments.

    • You can place scented sachets or charcoal briquettes in the wardrobe to keep the silk smelling fresh and to deter insects.

    • Regularly check the condition of the silk, preventing stains or mold from spreading.
