Tangerine

Tangerine is a tropical fruit originating from Southeast Asia, widely grown in many countries around the world, including Vietnam. Tangerine has a sweet and sour taste, is crunchy, and contains a lot of vitamin C and other nutrients that are good for health.

In addition to its nutritional value, tangerines also have many cultural and spiritual meanings. In Eastern culture, tangerines are considered a symbol of luck, abundance and prosperity.

Tangerines are yellow or orange, which are colors that symbolize wealth and prosperity. In Eastern culture, yellow is considered the color of royalty, symbolizing power and wealth. Orange is also considered the color of brightness, happiness and prosperity.

The word "quất" in Chinese sounds similar to the word "cát" (meaning luck). Therefore, people often give each other tangerines at the beginning of the new year with the wish for good luck and fortune all year round.

The tangerine has a round, plump shape, symbolizing fulfillment and completeness. This also means wishing for a happy family and healthy, developed children.

During the Lunar New Year, many families often display tangerines in their homes with the hope of a peaceful and prosperous new year. In addition, tangerines are also used in many traditional festivals of the Vietnamese people. For example, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, people often make carp shapes out of tangerines with the meaning of praying for their children to study well and achieve high results.
